Glen Ellis Anderson
Served for a police officer for Alameda County, California. After that, he served as a judge in Nevada. His dad and granddad were police officers. He was a 3rd generation police officer and felt very passionate about it. He won a lot of rewards and recognition being a police officer and judge. When he retired from Nevada, he was recognized by the Supreme Court Justices for excellent service. As a judge he established many new programs which eventually became law in Nevada. He was always kind. His children never heard him raise his voice ever. His favorite saying was “don’t tense up.” He was a very thoughtful, non-judgmental man. He loved his wife very much. – Kathy Barrus, daughter
“What a wonderful man!” He was very patient and loved his wife dearly. – Al Barrus, son-in-law

When Helen was 11 years old her parents divorced. She grew up with her Dad, Wilbur Lewis Shook. She did a lot of cooking and cleaning for him. She had a hard childhood. She was married at the tender age of 16. She was very organized, a wonderful housekeep, and cook. She was very loyal to her family. She was literally like a “mother bear” ,she could smack her kids around but if anyone else mess with her children, they better beware. She really loved her husband. Her pet name by her daughters Glenda and Kathy and her husband Glen was “little banty rooster” because she could really peck on you and get mad. Her husband would also call her “Ms. Helen.” She loved clothes and shoes. She was very stylish. Her weekly schedule was: Monday – washday, Tuesday – ironing day, Wednesday – deep clean the house day, Thursday – get hair done and shopping day, Friday – more shopping. She enjoyed going to casinos and gambling with her husband, especially Jackpot. – Kathy Barrus, daughterU.S., Social Security Death Index, 1935-Current about Helen B. Anderson
