3 1/3 cup milk (heat)
5 eggs
Mix:
1 1/4 cups sugar
scant 1/2 cup flour
pinch salt
1 pint cream
3 tbsp vanilla (imitation)
1 1/2 tbsp lemon extract
1/2 can milk
enough regular milk to fill freezer can to fill line.
6 quarts call for half cup flour so I just use a little less than a half cup. I couldn't figure 1/6 of a half cup. Mother always said put a little of your hot milk in the egg mixture before adding it all so it won't cook the eggs. You might want to put 1 tbsp of lemon and then taste it to see if you like more. We like 1 1/2 tbsp. If you want different flavors leave out the lemon.

MIchael,
Your family history blog is great! My husband is related through Leonard Leigh Bair. Recently I have been collecting family history also and would like to communicate with you.
