Peanut Brittle, Darlene Purser Bair

3 cups sugar
1 cup white corn syrup
1 cup water

Mix and cook to soft ball stage. Add:
1 pound raw peanuts

Cook to 300`, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and quickly add:
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp baking soda
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp salt

Stir well and pour into greased cookie sheet. Cook and crack.
