Pickled Red Beets, Darlene Purser Bair

Peel and cook beets until done. Mix in a pan and boil:

1 cup vinegar
2 cups water
1 cup sugar

Fill jars with cooked beets. Add 3 whole cloves per pint, 4 for quart. Cover with vinegar mixture and seal.
