Pineapple Pie Filling, Darlene Purser Bair

1/2 cup cornstarch
3 cups water
2 cups sugar
3 egg yolks
3 tbsp butter
1 1/3 cups crushed pineapple and applesauce

Put cornstarch, water and salt in top of double boiler and boil until clear. Pour over egg, add butter, fruit and sugar. Cook until thickened.
