Spanish Rice, Darlene Purser Bair

1/4 cup oil
1 1/2 cup rice, uncooked
8 oz can tomato sauce
8 oz can water
2 tbsp onions, chopped
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt

In a skillet add oil and rice. Brown and add onion and 3 cups water. Put lid on and cook until almost done. Add rest of ingredients, cover and cook for 15 minutes, or until done. May need more water.
