Sweets (Pickles), Darlene Purser Bair

Wash clean small cucumbers. Put in bottle and pour boiling water over them for 4 mornings with new water each time. One the 5th morning cut up in slices.

Mix:
1 quart vinegar
8 cups sugar
2 tbsp salt
2 sticks cinnamon
1/4 tsp mace
1 tbsp whole cloves
add green coloring

Bring this to a boil and put on pickles. For 4 mornings reheat and put back on pickles. On the 5th morning boil and then seal.
