Sandwich Cookies, Darlene Purser Bair

Cream together:
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar

Add:
2 beaten egg yolks

Sift together:
5 tbsp cocoa
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt

Add:
1 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla

Drop by tsp onto greased cookie sheets. Bake at 375` for 8-10 minutes. Cool then put together with filling and wrap in wax paper.

Filling:
1/2 cup shortening
2 egg whites
2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla

Beat until light and fluffy.
